We tend to have conversations and take action at our level of comfort. To some extent, a persons degree of success is proportional to the amount of uncertainty they can manage. That's not to say that you have to be a financial risk taker to be successful, it's more about how clear the picture needs to be before you leap...
Do you have to be right to have a relationship with someone?
Do you really need consensus to move a project forward?
Or, do you need trust and alignment? ...maybe it's not about accuracy (being right) or agreed strategy (consensus).
Worry less about certainty and you become the leader...
It's the leaders role to replace confusion with certainty... that doesn't mean you have to be certain... just offer some. (I think...;)
